Over the Rainbow 2026 – A Beautiful Ukulele Tradition Continues in Lithuania
The joyful spirit of ukulele music once again filled the legendary Tamsta Club as the annual “Virš Vaivorykštės” (Over the Rainbow) Ukulele Competition returned for another unforgettable celebration of music and community.
Following last year’s incredible success, this year’s edition continued to grow, bringing together 10 participants and groups from across Lithuania, with around 70 musicians performing on stage. From young beginners to more experienced players, every performance reflected passion, creativity, and the unifying power of the ukulele.
Throughout the day, nearly 300 ukulele fans, families, and friends visited the club to support the performers and share in the excitement. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and filled with smiles, a true celebration of new talent and a growing musical community.
A respected jury of 10 well-known Lithuanian musicians carefully selected the winners. All contestants received special gifts from Tamsta, and the top performers were proudly awarded Flight Ukuleles, recognizing their dedication and musical achievements.
Flight is honored to continue supporting this beautiful initiative. Events like Over the Rainbow perfectly reflect what the ukulele stands for: accessibility, joy, and bringing people together through music.
A heartfelt thank you to the organizers, participants, families, teachers, and everyone who made this year’s event so special. We are proud to see this tradition growing stronger each year and look forward to supporting it again in the future.
