Music and Solidarity at the Heart of a Historic Fundraising Effort

In April 2026, Poland witnessed an extraordinary act of solidarity as influencer and creator Piotr Hancke, known online as Latwogang, hosted a nine-day nonstop livestream to raise funds for children fighting cancer. The campaign, organized in support of the Cancer Fighters Foundation, mobilized millions of people across Poland and beyond, ultimately raising more than 227 million złoty and setting a new Guinness World Record for an online fundraising livestream.

The initiative brought together musicians, athletes, creators, and public figures in a shared effort to support children and families facing some of life’s hardest challenges. Throughout the stream, viewers tuned in from around the world, with the campaign reportedly reaching more than 341 million views over nine days.

Artists including Chris Martin of Coldplay, football stars Robert Lewandowski and Wojciech Szczęsny, and many Polish musicians and creators joined the livestream to show their support. During one segment, Polish singer-songwriter Sanah performed with a Flight ukulele while taking part in the charity event, a small but meaningful moment within a much larger movement centered around compassion, community, and hope.

Rather than focusing on performances alone, the livestream highlighted the power of people coming together for a common purpose. Many participants shaved their heads in solidarity with young cancer patients, while viewers donated continuously throughout the event to help fund treatment and support services for children and their families.

The Cancer Fighters Foundation has since pledged to publicly account for how the funds will be used, ensuring that the unprecedented support translates into direct and meaningful help for children battling cancer.
