549,00

Meet the Flight Maia Luxe, the deluxe evolution of Flight’s gem, the Maia. Built for players who want an even richer experience, the Maia Luxe features a solid mango top paired with solid rosewood back and sides. This fully solid body gives the instrument greater resonance, depth and warmth while preserving the bright and dynamic character that makes the Maia so distinctive.

The Maia Luxe is just as impressive visually as it is sonically. A gloss black headstock, scalloped cutaway and striking wide abalone rosette and binding give this ukulele an elegant and eye-catching appearance. We also added a side soundhole so players can hear the instrument’s full tone and volume more directly while playing. Combined with a smooth satin neck, the Maia Luxe feels comfortable and inspiring in your hands.

With phosphor strings and a responsive acoustic body, it delivers a lively and articulate sound that stands apart from anything else in Flight’s ukulele lineup. The Maia Luxe also includes an active Double C1U pickup, making it ready for amplification or recording whenever you need it. If you are ready to take the Maia experience to the next level, the Maia Luxe is waiting for you.

A dreamy match

All solid body: mango & rosewood

We paired a solid mango top with solid rosewood back and sides for a sound that is deep, sweet and rich in the mids and lows, with enhanced resonance and warmth, while maintaining excellent clarity and projection on the high end.

Let’s Play

Rosewood fretboard and bridge

Like many of our Princess Series ukuleles, the Maia Luxe features a chocolatey rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Historically a very popular hardwood for fretted instruments, rosewood can add warmth to the sound of an instrument while lessening harsh higher frequencies.

Rich and resonant tone

Custom set of phosphor strings

The Maia Luxe stands out in Flight’s lineup with its phosphor strings, offering a distinctive tonal character with strong projection and impressive sustain. It’s a great choice for players looking for a lively, articulate sound.

Pitch perfect

Bone compensated saddle and pin bridge

The Maia Luxe features a real bone nut and a compensated saddle. Compensated saddles help to properly set the intonation of each string. The pin bridge allows for quick and easy string changes.

Turning heads

Bold and striking headstock design

The Maia Luxe features a gloss black headstock with the Flight logo, which matches the gloss black scallop and binding of the instrument.  The resulting look is both bold and classy.

Tasteful Appointments

Abalone rosette, binding and unique position markers

A wide abalone rosette and binding offset beautifully the natural colors of the mahogany top, offering a classic touch to the instrument. The unique triangle fretboard markers make this baritone stand out from the pack. Side position markers are included for ease of reference for the player.

Real temptation

Stylish cutaway and soundhole

We adopted a gloss black scalloped cutaway for the Maia Luxe, a favorite feature on our Spirit, Mustang and Victoria models. This intelligent design allows for playing higher up the fretboard without the compromise in volume and tone caused by many full cutaways. In addition, for the Luxe version we incorporated a side soundhole on the top of the ukulele, enhancing the Maia Luxe’s full tone and projection.

Small yet mighty

Double C1U active pickup

The controls for the active pickup are mounted underneath the sound hole, meaning that a cavity does not have to be created on the side of the ukulele for the pickup.  The Double C1U is easy to use, and sounds great! Ukuleles with the new active pickups include an “A” (for “Active”) as a part of their model number.  For tips on how to use the Double C1 pickup, visit the FAQ section on our website!

Only the best gig bag

Royal burgundy

All of our Princess Series ukuleles come with a luxury red gig bag with a purple infusion. This color has traditionally been associated with royalty, a fitting final touch of luxury with this instrument.  The bag features great features and 15mm padding which will protect your ukulele and make it comfortable to transport.
