Flight Songbird Named Southern Ukulele Store’s Uke of the Year 2025

We’re incredibly excited to share some amazing news. The Flight Songbird Tenor has been named Uke of the Year 2025 by Southern Ukulele Store. Every year they put together their “Top 10 Ukuleles” list, celebrating the instruments that really stand out, and the moment they tried the Songbird, it immediately caught their attention.

The Songbird has a beautifully figured maple top with mango back and sides, giving it a clear, vibrant tone and a look that’s hard to forget. Its design was shaped with the help of @justilele, whose artistic touch played a big part in making the instrument’s visual style what it is today. It’s one of those ukuleles that feels special the moment you pick it up.

This win also feels meaningful because it’s part of a story that’s been unfolding for a while. The A10 Anniversary Series took the title back in 2021 and marked Flight’s tenth anniversary. In 2023 the honor went to the 4SB, the signature ukulele of Sammy Turton, also known as 4stringboy. Seeing the Songbird follow in the footsteps of these two models really shows how our instruments have grown and evolved over the years.

We’re so grateful to Southern Ukulele Store for this recognition, and genuinely proud to see the Songbird reach the top for 2025.
